Cycling Injuries

Cycling Injuries

If you are a rider and have pain or injury it is important to examine you both physically and on your bike. No matter what level of cycling you are at it is important that the bike fit is right for you as an individual and whether or not your riding position or style is contributing to your problem.

If you have existing injuries or muscle imbalances or your bike is not correctly fitted for you then over time this may cause problems.  It may result in injury or pain. You may have already had you bike professionally fitted but are still getting discomfort. We will assess both your injury and you on your bike from a physiotherapist’s point of view taking into account the riders goals and limitations and the way your own body moves. The assessment allows us to explore your joints, muscle balance, posture, biomechanics on and off the bike to refine and maximise your biomechanical efficiency and recovery. Having completed the assessment any minor adjustments can be made to your bike as well as to you.
